We took this tour of our first full day in Key West. Great choice! We had a great time leisurely biking the island, getting the lay of the land, learning lots of history, learning about current Key West and getting suggestions for the rest of our stay. Bruce was an excellent guide and a guy who clearly loves his town and loves to introduce it to others. You will get lots of pics!! Highly recommended!!

Grant was our guide. His narrative and answers to our questions was well informed, engaging, and done with a bit of humor. Our itinerary included some typical tourist places. However, we also got to see neighborhoods where locals live. Throughout we learned how Key West developed over time. It was well worth three hours of our time. The tour ended with a visit to the Key Lime Bake Shop for a delicious piece of key lime pie.

We are very proud of what you have done, Christopher, with this bike tour. Congratulation on your high ranking on tripadvisor. After watching your video, I thought I'd fill you in on a few details how Key Lime Bike Tours actually began. We, Don and Marlene Allen from Liberty Lake, WA, are the original owners of Key Lime Bike tours which we created in 2009. We sold the company to a young couple from Ohio who in turn sold the company to you. We spent lots time researching before designing a website for the tours. We procured and signed the original contracts with Cruise Ships that stopped by Key West. We wrote scripts for the tour guides and created a tour map. Thanks for carrying on the same tradition of serving free key lime pie and bottles of water. We lived on Stock Island and rode our bikes to work most days. That was so much fun!! We housed our bikes in our store on Fitzpatrick St. where we also rented bikes by the hour and sold new bikes. Our goal was to have our tour highly ranked on tripadvisor.com and it looks like you have accomplished that goal. GREAT JOB! It gives us enormous pride that you have taken such good care of our tour business that we loved so much. Key West will always be our favorite place to live and work. We have such wonderful memories that will last forever. Thanks for keeping it going. Nice Work!

Thanks for the kind words. I'll fill you in on what's happened since we bought the tour on 1/1/2013. We moved to KW in 2011 to start a bike tour, but at that time the city was doing a traffic study and had a moratorium on any new businesses that used city streets. In December of 2012 we found out the business was struggling and was for sale, so we jumped at the chance. When we took over there were 37 total bikes, and the business was ranked #68 on TA with about 40 reviews. I think they did about 1500 total guests in 2012. We now have 105 adult bikes, 10 kids bikes, a trike, tandem, kids trailer, baby seats, and 6 guide bikes. In 2018 we did 7200 guests, are ranked #3 on TA, and have over 1100 5 star reviews. We have surpassed all of our goals, and apparently yours too! So thanks for getting it started, and if you ever return to KW look us up! Michelle and Christopher
