Slip on your heated helmet and hit the gas--we are headed through Alaska's winter playground. This 1 hour guided tour takes place on the outskirts of North Pole where we will thunder across the famous Alaska Pipeline and zip through snow covered forests. We usually see some wildlife on every tour to include: Moose, Fox, Snowshoe Hares, Ptarmigan, Grouse, and squirrels.

All snowmobiles are new Ski Doo luxury touring snowmobiles. These snowmobiles are made for riding in style and comfort. All snowmobiles have heated handgrips and electric start.

Went to see the Northern Lights and decided to try snowmobiling. It was great. Excellent gear to keep you warm. Heated helmet and heated grips. Stayed warm the whole time and it was only 8 degrees. Also seen 6 moose. We were able to drive over the Alaskan pipeline at speeds up to 45 mph.

Our speed of each snowmobile trip varies by driver ability and the area we are in. The guide is always in front of and moderates the trip speed based on conditions. Thank you for the review.

This was the only tour activity that we didn’t book prior to arriving for a week in Fairbanks. We heard how much fun it was while on an aurora photo tour and decided to book it. Very impressed with Rod’s operation. They were efficient and helpful with outfitting us for our snowmobiling adventure. Their equipment is the ultimate in comfort and in tip-top shape. The hand grips were even heated! We were total novices and our guide explained operations thoroughly, then we did a few circles on the practice track before heading out into the woods. The scenery was gorgeous and the ride was fun! Our guide spotted a moose relaxing out in the trees, so we stopped for photos. Believe them when they say it can be bumpy, so if you have serious back problems, don’t. But I am 71 with some joint issues and bad hips and knees and I had a great time. So glad we booked this adventure!

Our snowmobile adventures are not recommended for pregnant women or folks with back pain. We groom our trails daily to ensure the smoothest ride possible. But snow conditions change rapidly with our warm temps softening our snow. Thank you for the review.
