The day started with a very warm Kauai welcome from Adam, making the process of signing in enjoyable. Traveling in a sea kayak up the Wialua Rivier, allows you to get close to the natural wonders of Kauai. Our guide Aaron, was very informative and knowledgable on all aspects of the trip, from the history of the area to the vegitation seen along the tour. Aaron made a group of individuals, his group for the day, spending time with everyone and anyone that wanted learn more or needed a little guidance. You don't need to take much along with you, wearing a bathing suit, water shoes and some kind of sun protection that can get wet while on the river a must. Someone in your party needs to take a water proof camera, the Uluwehi Falls is so worth getting pictures of and getting into the pool at the bottm is the best. Lunch is provided, and the back drop is the beautiful falls, sit back and enjoy your surroundings You should bring some dry cloths to change into, keep them in your car; because you most definetly will find great activities near by in Kapaa. The total time for the trip was arround 5 hours from sign-in to return, and there wasn't much down time. Enjoy.

Aloha Amhurt, What a fun day! You guys rock! Its always refreshing to get a group of east coasters on tour to keep me on my toes. Great tip on the water camera. Many of the big brand names are carrying comparable digital water proof cameras. you can find multiple brands under 200 bucks. Why not own one? If you decide to bring your high end SLR next time its cool too. Our high end drybag backpacks can fit most SLR in padded cases. Every group is treated like Ohana(family) and our guides are great at feeling out the groups interests by the individual. Thanks for noticing. We feel a little effort goes a long way. Kayak Adventures was recommended by a friend. The whole day from the start was well organized and laid back. Aaron is passionate about this island and very knowledgeable of the history, language, and a true teacher at heart. He was very attentive to the whole group and has a genuine interest in each individual in his group. This is an easy tour, good for all ages. The tricky part is the mud can be pretty slippery. Wear shoes with support and a good grip.(Keens are great for this) You will get wet and muddy. The falls were spectacular, lunch was very good. Overall an excellent tour and would do this one again.

I am so fortunate to have the best employees in all departments - reservations, shop staff and guides. We all work together to make it a smooth check-in process for everyone at our shop. Yes, I agree that Aaron is a true teacher at heart - pretty nice that his classroom is the Wailua Valley :) He is very passionate about Hawaiian history and culture and he is more than happy to share his knowledge with our guests. Thank you for commenting on the trail conditions for readers. The trails tend to get muddy especially after a night of rainfall. Keens are perfect shoes for the trip. Trails can get slippery at times so it is really important to have good supportive footwear. Our sandwiches are catered by local owners & staff at Small Town Coffee. We have been working with them to have a hearty sandwich that will hold up during the paddle and hike and make it to the waterfall. We want to make sure our guests are satisfied since they worked up an appetite! :) Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review & making us a part of your Kauai experience! This is a company that really has its tour down to a science. Our awesome guide took us two miles up the river, naming every flower and mountain he could see. We docked our kayaks and took a one mile hike through a lush rainforest. Saw a couple of great waterfalls including Secrets where lunch was provided. A fun activity that lets you see the real Kauai!
