My husband and I chose the Snoqualmie Falls Tour, and we were glad we did! We only had one day to spend in Seattle, and we had never been to the city before. Terry, our guide, picked us up at our hotel, and he was right on time. We met 8 others on the tour at Pike Place Market. The comfortable tour bus had 13 seats, but since we had 10 on our tour, we had extra room. Another Shutter Tours bus ran that day, also. The falls really are gorgeous, and Terry provided quick but excellent tips on photo composition before we left the bus. Once we were at the falls, Terry worked with us one on one, offering idea, taking photos of both of us, and even taking some photos for people who asked who were not on our tour! During the drive to the falls and between other stops, he gave interesting information, using a microphone so all could easily hear. We learned some history, some geographical information, and saw interesting places in the city and surrounding countryside, going over Lake Washington, through the small town of Snoqualmie, past a train "graveyard," and other interesting sights before coming back into Fremont and Seattle. We stopped to take photos of an interesting art piece -- a huge troll under a bridge -- and the locks, where we saw the salmon ladder and watched 3 different boats (a tour boat, a police boat and a tug) lowering in the lock to pass from fresh to salt water. Again, at each stop we were given short, succinct and interesting photo tips. We got wonderful photos! We stopped at Kerry Park, where the iconic photos of the city of Seattle with the Space Needle, the harbor, and Mount Rainier are taken. We were lucky, and it was a beautiful day, so we had views of Mount Rainier! We ended our tour at Pike Place Market, which is an amazing place. We were given more photo tips, along with information on sights to see while walking, restaurant tips, and a myriad of other information. In our one day in Seattle, without a car, we saw so much and our photos make it seem that we were everywhere! Thank you, Terry and Shutter Tours, for a wonderful day.
