Experience a taste of life at Rocky Mountain National Park, on this tour you will do it all. You will travel up above the trees, over two miles above sea level. You will get to take a short hike or two and see fast flowing snow melt, waterfalls, and glaciers. Come and experience the awe inspiring beauty that is Rocky Mountain National Park, or “Rocky” as the locals call it. Our knowledgeable guide will give you an in depth guided tour telling you all about the science and history of Rocky and its animals. This tour travels up the famous Old Fall River Road. We will take a half-way break at the Alpine Visitor Center(closed during PM tour), which is the highest altitude visitor center of any national park. Upon leaving the Alpine Visitor Center you will journey across Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in North America, reaching the highest point on the road at 12,183’. Coffee, hot drinks, and cold refreshments as well as a variety of snacks are provided while on board.

This was a great experience. The open-air bus was unique. Zach, the guide was entertaining, and we also did no have to contend with the timed entrance of RMNP. Definitely recommend this.

The best way to get a great overview of Rocky Mountain National Park! The bus is , unique, comfortable and stock with everything to make your tour comfortable…cupholders with a place to hold your phone so it’s always within easy reach to snap a photo, hot & cold beverages, snacks, blankets, phone charging cords, binoculars and blankets. It’s obvious this company has put time and effort into anticipating their customers needs and provide for them. Our tour guide, Brian, was polite, accommodating, a skilled driver and oh so knowledgeable about the park, it’s history, it’s ecology & topography. He is familiar with the various species of plants and animals that inhabit RMNP and knows where their favorite spots to frequent. His clear voice and the bus’ excellent soundsystem made it easy to hear Bryan’s informative and entertaining commentary. We made a few stops at interesting points in the park. They know the spots to get beautiful pictures, as well as where the various animals usually are. We saw elk and mule deers! Brian provided factual information and antidotal stories in a delightful manner. You can’t help but be blown away by the beautiful scenery, the excellent educational and entertaining commentary, and the comfort of the open air vehicle. I highly recommend Purple Mountain Tours. We went out on the 3PM half day RMNP and loved it. I can’t wait to go back. to Purple Point Tours again for the stargazing tour! It’s not inexpensive, but it’s worth every cent.

This tour was worth every penny. Zach was an amazing tour guide! The vehicle is awesome you get the best of both worlds inside and out. We got to see more of the park then we ever would have seen had we traveled through alone. Highly recommend!
