Easy and relaxing float with beautiful scenery and an opportunity to take a dip in the crystal clear water. Hannah was a terrific guide with a great deal of knowledge about the area. Perfect trip for families and those not looking for too much "excitement."

A group of 16 of us went on a Scenic Float trip with the Glacier Raft Company on a very hot day last week. The booking process was easy, a couple of phone calls to the company to ask questions were returned promptly. On arrival we found a very busy but extremely organized business. We were promptly checked in, and given directions to meet by the life jacket area where guides helped us to put on and fit our life jackets properly. The ride to/from the put in / take out spots was a short and a comfortable school bus ride. We were on two rafts - 8 on one and 8 of us plus two from another group on the other. 8 was comfortable, 10 was tight with two rows of 2 and two rows of 3. The rows of three were a bit uncomfortable - those on the outside were seated at an uncomfortable angle and those in the middle didn't have access to the water to cool off. I suggest asking for 8 only per raft when you book. The trip itself was fun and relaxing on smooth water. Some people jumped in for a swim to cool off. The guides were informative and experienced. We saw a bald eagle dive down in an attempt (unsuccessful) to grab a duck on the water - much quacking ensued. On our return all life jackets were dunked in tubs of water with a cleaning agent before being hung to dry in readiness for the next person. There is a good shop if you need anything for the trip - we bought water shoes ($15 vs $7 for rental) and glasses retainers.

Ciara was amazing as our guide. Family had a blast. Worth every penny. Highly recommend. We will try the white water rafting next!
