The tour was very informative and Jim was our tour guide was great. Our group was huge which showed a great signed. We walked around downtown as Jim told us the history of each stop and building. He was very engaging. We just moved to the city and wanted to know the history of the city with some spice of ghost stories! You will meet at Joes coffee shop on west 2nd street, theres also a sign for the tour as well so you know you're at the right one. We will definitely be doing the murder walk one once it gets a bit cooler out for the Halloween season! This tour is about an hour and half at a leisurely pace. Thanks Jim we will definitely be back! Get your cameras ready you never know if youll snap something!

The tour guide was great, but after our first stop at the Dreskel Hotel, my friend and I went to see the 5th floor portrait mentioned in the guide's story and when we came back, the group was gone. We looked everywhere we thought they might be and never found them. Only got to see one stop....

Thank you for choosing Walking Tours of Austin. However, at the Driskill stop you are referring tour guests are not allowed to go to the fifth floor as hotel floors are reserved for hotel guests only. I assumed we were all together as none of my other 25 guests left the tour. Sorry you got left. Best, JM

Our guide, Jim, walked us around downtown Austin, sharing some of the history of the city with us in an enthusiastic voice. His passion for story telling and history definitely comes through as he describes some of the ghostly aspects of the city. He seems to love the work and this made the experience more fun.
