We love Hawaii Five-O series and yes we did get to see lots of scenes from the show. Our driver, however, was another story. She texted us five times on when and where to pick us up. She said that she was part of the Five-O crew, which maybe true. If it is, she should not of spoke poorly of a few cast members. No one wants to hear about bad things about who they like to watch. Didn't get to see any filming, but we didn't expect it either.
This trip was very expensive for what we got. We arrived at 8 am, drove to pick-up somebody else so this tour effectively started at 8:30 am to finish at 11:45 am. And we paid 165/person....
too expensive for what it is.
You don't have to be a Hawaii-50 series fanatic to enjoy this remarkable experience, but it helps.
I loved the original Jack Lord series, and know little about the new series apart from the fact that it has some great Aussie lead actors, but I must confess to leaving the tour with a hunger to watch the new detectives at work.
We took this tour as an opportunity to go to parts of the island that are off the beaten tourist track, and for that alone it was well worth while.
What these guys don't know about the minutia and detail of the 50 productions is not worth knowing.
And the bonus of the tour was the begged-for opportunity to purchase a couple of genuine production crew t-shirts literally of the back of the production truck.
My fellow reviewers have heartily endorser this tour, and I am delighted to share their enthusiasm...so don't miss out....Book it, Danno!
