  • Galleries and artwork visited during this tour are subject to closure and absences without prior notice. Your guide may need to modify to account for these events on the day of the tour.
  • Those requiring wheelchair access into the museum will need to enter the museum to the left of the main entrance (while facing it) where a ground level entrance is located. Please inform the staff you are meeting a tour group in the main lobby.
  • Tips/gratuities (for your guide) are always appreciated.
  • Non-flash photography is allowed. However but cannot be used inside the Museum. Selfie sticks are also prohibited. Please note there is a security check before entering the building that can take up to 15 minutes.

The tour was exhausting and a huge disappointment. I did not purchase a tour of the MET to engage in a marathon sprint from key highlights from the tour guide. The tour guides sense of humor was off putting and detracted from the museum experience. Our time at the Met was the least satisfying part of our trip to New York. I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

Charlie was great and a lot of fun! The Met is huge so it was great to see the highlights of the museum without having to take days to find things.

We went to the MET on a guided tour , our guide, Roberta, was wonderful and very knowledgeable and share her expertise with the group. The tour is listed as a small guided tour (we were 11), so it is easy to hear her and she could interact with us as we asked questions or commented. The MET is beautiful , and we are so glad that our schedule allowed us to make a short tour of it. It would take many times and many trips back to see it all. Thank you for the beautiful gift of Art at the Metropolitan.
