Overall beautiful scenery but be aware of mixed age groups and hiking ability. I am an experienced hiker who can easily hike twice the distance of this trail on the east coast that is...I am 64 years old and this was my first visit to the Rocky Mountains and chose to respect the altitude and the new terrain and enjoy the view. The problem was Mike, the guide, seemed annoyed at my pace and that he had to stay with me while the much younger crowd went ahead even though I insisted I would be fine on my own.... he said he was not allowed to leave me but on the way down another member of group was assigned to walk with me while he went ahead with the others....he even went so far as to tell me that resting and or slowing down was making me worse and not helping. I decided not to let him ruin the moment or diminish my accomplishment but in retrospect I believe he rushed the hike so he could add on extra scenic stops for extra tips ....I did tip him anyway but not as much as I would have if he were kinder, more compassionate, and encouraging....hope this helps someone to ask some additional questions when booking....
