We don't get the kids wet so bathing suits aren't required.
Sunblock is a must, there's lots of shade aboard but we keep the kids in the action so they get a good amount of sun.
Feel free to bring a drink or a snack but there's no time for a big lunch, the kids will be too busy having fun.

I’m always so proud of Hilton Head when an event does it right and doesn’t gouge the pockets of visitors. (I’m a HH resident 16 years) I recently took my two grandchildren on the Pirate Adventure Cruise out of Harbor Town. And they did everything right. When Hilton Head Monthly Magazine did a feature on Pirates of the Calibogue I felt this could be the perfect outing for visiting grandchildren, Apolonia age 5 and Konstantine age 3. From the moment we arrived at the pier the Pirate actors stayed in character...captivated the attention of the youngsters (which is a very challenging task) and we were off. The whole adventure was filled with fun and excitement. The young pirates got pirate names, tattoos, learned pirate lingo and took pirate pledges…on to the Black Dagger... (sensitive to safety boat)...with the delightful crew...they looked for treasure and were warned of snarly pirates. My grandchildren walked away with big smiles...and a bigger story to share. I brought my 4 year old son on the PIrates of Hilton Head adventure. From the sight of the boat alone my son was hooked. He is at the age where his imagination is thriving and the experience was a home run from start to finish! The crew was great with him, and watching him play the role of the conquering pirate with a huge grin on his face and an excitement he could barely contain was worth the price of admission for me and his mother alone. He still asks me, "remember the time I was a pirate???"

My 4 year old, Lockjaw Jeremiah LOVED this adventure! All he has talked about since the week we've been there is Stinky Pete! I would recommend this trip is recommended for children 3-8 and there is a canopy covered area at the back of the boat for parents to relax and enjoy the scenery while their kids are entertained at the front of the boat. It's a nice break parents! They learn to speak like a pirate and actively participate in the hunt for treasure. They also get to drink Pirate Grog, which my son LOVED. The crew mates do not wear pirate costume, which did surprise me, but when working with young children may be beneficial as they will not be scared. I give this two thumbs up and would definitely do it again next time we come to Hilton Head! Keep up the good work!
