Our guide Ashley (aka The Red-Headed Devil - you’ll have to take the tour to find out why) was engaged with our group, FULL of historical facts and clearly enjoys sharing Savannah with others. Plenty of stops during the tour, opportunities to ask questions, a few chances to rest in one of the many beautiful squares. Earpieces are handed out so you can hear the guide even if you’re at the back of the group or around traffic/construction noise. The number of steps from The DeSoto Hotel, the tour, and back to the hotel were under 8,000, so it was a great tour without too much walking. If you’re leaning toward a self-guided tour, take this tour first, it’s totally worth it!
