Our group of 5 went on the Historical Dinner Cruise to Kealakekua Bay in mid May to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Univ of Hawaii. We checked in at the retail store nearby the pier and were able to leave the car parked there with no charge. After a short walk down the hill, we checked in again at the area on the pier. There were other folks who checked in already but were standing away from the queue in the shade, once we lined up, they all joined in behind us. I would recommend getting in the queue promptly if you want to select your preferred seat on the boat. We were the second group on board and picked seats at the top in the center for additional shade. The top seating has a bench style seating with skinny table in front of you. Downstairs had larger tables. The staff were very attentive and gave a shout out to our daughter's celebration. I emailed in advance for dietary restrictions and those were easy to ask for and provided as requested. The narration down to the bay was given between lovely Hawaiian musical sets. The views are beautiful. Coming back was more DJ style music. We watched the sun set, then docked. Had a great time which with the friendly staff was even more enjoyable.

The cruise was great the crew and captain and music did a great job the food was outstanding and the ride up the coast to Captain Cook's monument and ride back with the sunset was what we hoped for and I give it five stars. Great
