Amanda has vast knowledge of the history of Wilmington, which is fascinating, and she combines that with architectural insights and interesting stories to keep the tour very lively. A great experience!

On a recent chilly morning my wife and I met Amanda at the corner of Orange and Water Streets. As advised, we found on-street metered parking ($1.00/hour) which we paid inserting a credit card. Amanda was a few minutes early and we joined her at the small park on the corner. It ended up being a private tour, as there were no others having booked the tour that morning. And, it WAS chilly, but we were all bundled up against the cold breeze. Amanda is outgoing, friendly and very knowledgeable about the city, and having lived in Charleston, she provided meaningful contrast between the 2 cities, which we found interesting. She led us through the historic district with a running commentary of interesting details and insights, and we ended up where we began, near the car. (I added more time to the meter to we could walk a bit on our own through the downtown area.) We highly recommend this tour!
