We took the Access Hollywood tour with Dave on Sunday, 10th of April on our visit to LA from the UK. I previously did a Hollywood tour with another company a couple of years ago. The vehicle was super beat up and gave me neck pain because the ride was so bumpy. The driver was also really cranky and even smoked weed on the the tour as he drove us. So although we learned some cool facts it didn't give a good impression at all. He also hassled us for money at the end which was really uncomfortable. This time, it was my mother's first trip to America so I knew I wanted to take her on a Hollywood tour but something a little nicer. So I did a little online research, and Access Hollywood tour jumped out due to all the great comments. Thankfully they were all spot on! We had the pleasure of having Dave as our tour guide. The manager who greeted us at the location was also lovely (Dave also said on the tour his manager was the best boss he has ever had due to being such a nice guy, which is something you don't hear every day!). The vehicle was lovely and they have a private bathroom you can use at the location prior to the tour starting which is a welcome touch. Dave took us to celebrity homes such as Katy Perry, Jay Leno, Paris Hilton and Lionel Ritchie (we all had a good wave at Lionel's security camera!). Throughout, Dave was extremely entertaining and drove in a very safe manner which I also appreciated. It actually didn't feel like two hours had passed because it was so interesting. At one point, another car rolled down their windows to listen as we were waiting at the lights, and they noted they too were also really interested in Dave's commentary! My mother came away having had a really fantastic afternoon, which is exactly what I wanted for her. So, I'd like to thank Dave and the Access Hollywood manager (sorry, I didn't catch your name!) for a really wonderful experience. My top tips would be to avoid the sleezy tours on Hollywood Boulevard that try to drag you off the street hassling you. Head to Access Hollywood instead. Also, remember to bring some cash to tip Dave at the end! Seen as we all use cards these days it's easy to forget.

Dave was a great guide. The tour was interactive and fun. He really knew a lot about celebrities and where they hung out. I highly recommend this tour.

We had the best time on the tour. Now keep in mind this is something that I would never want to do but gave it a try. David was the best. He was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He made the difference. This was worth the money and I would recommend him and the tour to anyone in the area.
