Oahu Photography Tours After booking our flight to O’ahu for our honeymoon, I started googling “things to do in O’ahu.” I came across O’ahu photography tours. As I read the description for the “Instagram Hawaii Tour” I thought to myself, this is EXACTLY the type of thing i want to do! The tour totally lived up to our expectations and more. Our tour guide, Dee-Jay, is a master of his craft. Not only is he clearly knowledgeable and passionate about photography but also an amazing tour guide. At the end of the day my husband and I talked about how we felt like he was an old friend we were meeting up with to show us around the island. He was extremely friendly and easy to talk to and get along with and talked about whatever we wanted to talk about. We’ve been in some scenarios on other tours/ in other cities where the guide isn’t exactly social and it can get pretty awkward, especially on a smaller/ more intimate tour but that was not the case here at all. We went on a weekday which probably had some of the destinations a little less crowded than the weekend and made for great pictures. DeeJay took us all over the island and tailored our route to the things we wanted to see. Note: you do NOT have to be a professional or even a self proclaimed photographer to go on this tour! I am an “iPhone photographer” aka basically all the pictures I take are for social media. I would consider myself pretty experienced when it comes to using my iPhone but Dee-Jay showed me some tips and tricks that enhanced my iPhone photography skills as well as an editing app that i had never heard of before but now have already started using for my vacation photos. We only brought our phones on this tour (not a digital camera or DSLR) and it was definitely sufficient. We were picked up and dropped off to and from our hotel. He didn’t need navigation and was familiar with all routes, which made us feel confident. He shared with us fun facts about different places all around the island and took us to cool spots that I know we otherwise would not have found. Clearly he’s got the island hospitality thing down! Dee-Jay took pictures of us at each stop and we had a link to the photos before we even got upstairs to our hotel room after getting dropped off! This is a genius business model and we felt like it was absolutely worth the money. I have to admit, when I booked this I was really hoping this wouldn’t be something my husband would roll his eyes about, being an “Instagram photography tour” and all, but he had a blast too. Thank you for a great experience Dee-Jay! For sure a highlight of our trip and would recommend to anyone visiting Hawaii!

Aloha Allison, I can not tell you how much this review made me smile! I had such a blast with you on the tour and really wish it didn't have to end! WE really want all of our guests of the future to know that you can enjoy our tours with any camera, whether it is on a phone or a larger dslr or slr. I realy enjoyed this tour. Even though I missed the full day one by my own fault, Alex was able to accomodate me on this one. It is was an easy fairly relaxed day with not a lot of driving. It brings you to great spot for photography, selfies or solo or group shots, action shot or not. Swiming is possible. All is up to you to make your day enjoyable. This tour is well organized with a very pleasant fun atmosphere day. Photos are great. Many of my friends are jealous. Thank you Alex for a great day and also cheers to my traveling partners for the day.
