Zapora Hoovera

Mr. G was a wonderful tour guide. We lucked out and ended up being the only guests on the tour on Sunday. This made the day more enjoyable because we didn’t have to worry about wrangling a big group at each stop. Mr. G was gracious to offer a stop at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign before heading to breakfast. We dined at the oldest casino in Nevada, standard breakfast options. No complaints on the food/service. He provided historical insights during the drive and gave us ample time to explore the Hoover dam and stop by the Pat Tillman bridge on the way back to Vegas. This tour takes you inside the generator room, but not the extra trip into the dam. This worked perfect for us since we didn’t need the extra 30 minutes inside when trying to get to the airport for our flight. I would absolutely recommend this tour excursion for anyone looking to checkout the Hoover dam for a quick trip with a professional company.

We enjoyed this tour immensely. Our driver was right on time and the late January weather was beautiful. He gave a very informative history lesson on the trip to the dam and let us take as long as we wanted at the photo stops. The breakfast at the historic casino was an unexpected extra with the added benefit of feeling like real, “untouristy” Las Vegas. The time spent at the actual dam was about two hours, which was plenty for the power plant tour, lots of photos and a coffee/restroom break but anyone interested in a more detailed visit might find that too short, just fyi. We thought the tour was an excellent value and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you, Bill!
