I've seen maybe 3-4 comedy hypnosis shows in different forums, different cities. There's definitely a formula that works, and Kevin hits most of them. He's fun to watch and a talented hypnotist. The only downside to this show is the tiny room they have him in down in the Binion's basement (side note: there are only a handful of basements in Las Vegas, so that alone was unique), and the property doesn't seem to market him very well. The end result was this: hypnotist shows work on scale. The more people in the crowd, the better the odds that enough "good" candidates will raise their hands, and enough of them will go under. At one point, on a Saturday night in late summer, there were as many people on stage as were left in the audience, which then got whittled down to 3 hypnotized volunteers. Kevin handled it great, it did not seem to be a rare occurrence. The price is good for the show, but just keep in mind that it feels like a bootstrapped, small-room activity, not a big, fancy "Vegas" show. Worth seeing, but don't expect a massive stage, a team of ushers, cushy chairs, etc. This is downtown, man.
