Explore Icy Strait in style aboard our custom built 6 passenger whale watching catamaran with an enclosed heated cabin, restroom, indoor seating, outdoor seating, & 360 degree walk around viewing deck. We limit our vessel to 6 passengers max (whether private or mixed) to provide our guests with an uncrowded, relaxed, and intimate wildlife experience.

On the day of your tour, we will pick you up from your cruise ship port – Icy Strait Point and return you via van. Our excursion is 3 hours and 45 minutes from pick up to drop off (includes meeting, transit, & loading time). We designed this excursion to be one of the longest whale watching tours offered in Icy Strait. This extra time on the water allows us to take full advantage of Icy Strait's rich diversity of marine wildlife.

We guarantee whale sightings or you will receive a full refund.

We designed our calendar to accommodate as many ships as possible. A calendar listing specific ships can be found on our Vivid Endeavors website.

We had the most amazing experience with Seth on his boat watching whales. Seth knew the spots to travel to see the most action. We saw multiple whales, and a mom and calf that put on a spectacular show, double breaching the water multiple times for a once in a lifetime day. We’ve been on other tours with a big boat and this by far was the way to go! The ride was comfortable and Seth was experienced in knowing the whale activity in the area, and the nicest guy ever! We had so much fun and giggled all the way back to the ship knowing this was a once in a lifetime experience! If you are shy about whether to go on a non-cruise company excursion, don’t hesitate to book with Seth! He will get you back when you need to be back and will save you the hefty fee for their portion of the tour. Book the tour and have a blast!!

Seth, the owner, is a personable, knowledgeable gentleman. His 6 passenger boat was very nice with snacks, drinks, restroom, enclosed cab etc. We saw orcas, humpbacks, seals, sea otters, sea lions, eagles and even bears along the shoreline! The bonus was the gorgeous rainbow. HIGHLY recommend VividEndeavours in Hoonah, Alaska!!

captain Seth was warm, friendly, knowledgeable about the wild life in the area and went out of way to help us find them. We only had 6 people on the boat and captain was able to steer wherever wild life appears rather than stick to a set route or schedule. Wonderful experience. We saw many whales, sea otters, brown bear, and orcas.
