30 mins in a room with no explanation about the artists or paintings is not worth $60. Cool enough but very underwhelming. There was no actual museum part. You only sit in the room while the pictures are projected. But there’s no information or vocals, so you don’t know anything about what you are seeing. The only information on the artists is played on a tv right before you walk in, and it cycles through each slide so quickly you can’t read it all at once. We had to pay for the upgraded ticket which came with a « cushion » but they weren’t busy at all. The cushion was the tiniest thing, not much more than sitting on the floor.

This show is overpriced and 35 minutes in length. Expect to stand or sit on the floor, even if you have fallen for the “VIP” package which includes a rented seat cushion. In Boston, this is one large room with images projected on all four walls ( some walls have distracting red exit signs) which was Impressive and the accompanying music is beautiful. My rating is for the lack of seating as there are less than a dozen benches that seat two people. Don’t expect to learn a single thing about the art or the artists. You won’t know what painting is currently being cast or even which artist. At the gift shop you can find many lovely overpriced items, I purchased a jigsaw puzzle marked $39.99 ( paid $29.99 with a $10 VIP coupon) available on Amazon for $19.99.

One can argue about the aspirations of the earlier "Van Gogh Immersive Experience". At least, the utilized media, the digital projection, a VR goggle session, copies of paintings and explanations, and the description of Van Gogh's life, passion and struggles brought me closer to the painter. But "Immersive Monet..." appeared to have a different objective. I saw it as a sarcastic rip-off with near-zero appreciation for the artists. In a heartless way, the immersive digital projection - the only remaining art-piece compared to "Immersive Van Gogh" - is placed between two synchronized screens presenting the artists one by one - text on the left and a masterpiece on the right - and a completely oversized merchandise shop that shouts out loud and clear: "We're after your money, and we'll extricate it out of your credit card with as little investment and care as possible". Proof of that is for example the 5 to max 8 seconds of screen time spent on each painter before moving to the next. I had to cycle twice through the series of pictures. A cash desk at supermarket Aldi is more romantic. It would be interesting to know who in the list of creators and producers is responsible for such an optimization of ROI compared to "Immersive Van Gogh". In any case, I will not recommend this to anybody, and the next "Immersive ZYZ" will be answered with my Money kept well immersed in my wallet.
