Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for families, first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

We did the Raft and Rail trip and loved it. Our first family whitewater rafting trip could not have been better. Even our 8 year old son who was a little nervous had a BLAST, and even jumped into the river to float alongside the raft during a slow point in the river. Ali, our guide, took great care of us, teaching us everything we needed to know to paddle, and then expertly guiding us thru the river. We didn't get too wet but still had fun. I recommend the 1/2 day Bighorn Sheep Canyon trip for anyone with kids as a great way to experience rafting as it provided some challenges but nothing too crazy. Everyone at Arkansas River Tours was helpful and really good with kids.

This was my first time going whitewater rafting, and it was a blast. I was told that conditions weren't ideal with the water level being low, but I honestly would've never known the difference. Our guide Marshall was extremely knowledgeable about rafting and the surround areas. My friends and I are already planning another trip and want to go with him as our guide again.
