Opportunities to visit an aircraft carrier are scarce, but in NY there is such a possibility in the museum created on this former II WW aircraft carrier, the Intrepid. The visit leaves no one indifferent. Seeing this boat from the inside is amazing, but the whole museum around it is great. The collection of planes and helicopters on your deck is impressive. Not to mention the space museum, where you can see everything from a space shuttle to the costumes of astronauts who went to the moon. The experience can be topped off by visiting the Concorde plane right next to you. In short, a different, unique and exceptional museum that you cannot miss!

Watch out for the afternoon time! We booked the visit at 16:00: the time to pass the controls, to access the upper deck and see the space shuttle that here the staff invites us to leave because the structure closes at 17:00 !!! With 45 minutes of useful time you can not visit a museum especially with two children.
