The Ghostly Encounter tour is a unique variation of the walking tour. YOUR GUIDE IS A GHOST!! During this haunting 90-minute adventure, your Ghost guide will be telling their haunted tales just as they experienced them so many years before. Travel into their haunted homes to find out why their spirits remain trapped there, and perhaps you’ll experience the same frightening sensation. The options for your cast of ghostly characters are Georgia Wade McClellan or Mary Ann Wade.

You will be provided with a description of your ghostly guide for the evening upon receiving your tickets.

Jennie Wade House

The Jennie Wade House is the home where the only civilian was killed during the Battle of Gettysburg. The home is authentically furnished from cellar to attic, the Jennie Wade House is a shrine to Jennie and to life during the American Civil War. Just 20 years old at the time of the Battle, Jennie was kneading dough in the kitchen when a rifle bullet pierced two doors and claimed her life.

We went with a group of people. Chris was our guide. She played Mary Wade very well. Her knowledge is impeccable and she's very much into the part of Jennies mom. We had a couple experiences while we were in the house to which made it more ghostly. Definitely recommend a tour with Chris!!

This is a MUST for anyone interested in authentic ghost tours...you get to go inside the Wade house. We highly recommend Brian as a tour guide. This guy is the real deal and even brings ghost hunting equipment along for the tour. Not just stories...you are actually doing it. My 8 year old son was able to hunt with a K2 EMF meter for most of the tour and had full access/guidance from Brian on all the hotspots. I even EMF'd Brian at one point just to make sure he was in the flesh. I assure you, he is real and this tour had my kids thrilled all night and into the next morning. Both adults and brave kids will love this. In fact, we are still talking about it. Well done Brian!
