Our driver, Austin, was friendly, very knowledgable and able to accurately describe everything we saw and to answer all of our questions. As US National Parks go, Joshua Tree is not terribly exciting in early spring. To the untrained eye it appears to be simply miles and miles of joshua trees (no surprise) and piled boulders in various configurations. There is no one single spectacle (geyser, awesome waterfall, colorful gorge, etc.) which is a "must see". At other times of the year, I expect that the sunlight playing off the rocks or spring growth would add to the color of the desert landscape. My friend and I were happy to have gone, but do not plan to return.

That's fantastic to hear! We're delighted Austin's knowledge and friendliness enhanced your tour experience. We'll be sure to pass along your compliments. You might consider giving Joshua Tree a second chance. I suspect that an early Fall night of camping with a campfire at Jumbo Rocks campground on a moonless night could be the experience you were looking for.

Compared to other tours we have taken this one was overpriced. We had just taken the TukTuk tour of Palm Springs yesterday for the same price and there was no comparison between the quality of the two tours. Exploring Joshua Tree on your own is the way to go. All of this being said the quide was knowledgeable and friendly.

I'm sorry you did not compare pricing of all the tours that actually go inside Joshua Tree National Park. Our tour is nearly 40% less than any othet tour as we try to make our tour as economical as possible. But, you are correct, it is always less expensive to just simply go into the park on your own. You won't need to pay for a geology guide nor have the pleasure of jumping inside an authentic H1 military Hummer. We are disappointed that you only mentioned pricing in your tour and made no assessment of your professional guide or even the Wonders you experienced in Joshua Tree National park. The cost of running our tours are quite considerable including finding professional guides that we can give more than just a living wage to who offer their talents on our tours. We recommend that you economize next time and avoid taking tours that pinch your budget too much only to offer the most negative criticism.

Fabulous scenery and we were also lucky to have a great driver/tour guide Eddie. His knowledge of geology and botany amazing, he told us many interesting things about Joshua trees and how the area of the park was formed geologically.
