1
Park Narodowy Joshua Tree
4

5
Cap Rock Trail
Explore with your guide enormous rock formations exposed at the Earths surface that were produced by the very forces of the San Andreas Fault miles beneath. Here rocks seem to precariously balance upon one another in a fight between gravity and subterranean forces. A 30 minute optional guided walk is made here.
6
Intersection Rock
This iconic rock formation is one of the most popular places in the park for rock climbers. Gawk at the climbers as they challenge the perils of the 3rd dimension.
7
Barker Dam Trail
Take an optional hike with your Wilderness guide on this Trail originally lay down by the Cowboys. This will take you by Indian petroglyphs as well as a water resource that is used by high elevation Bighorn Sheep and deer. The Joshua Tree trip was everything we were expecting… informative, unique, and downright fun. Our guide, Eddie, is primarily responsible for our excellent experience. Articulate, good-humored, and very knowledgeable…he was fabulous.

We took the van tour, and were picked up in Palm Desert. Tour leader Denise a fun, informative gal. Denise is well-prepared with extra coats and blankets in case someone is underprepared for cooler weather. Plenty of bottled water and granola bars. It's about an hour's drive from Palm Desert to the park, and given the sparse facilities inside the park, it was great to have a guide. The group in the van included someone in a wheelchair -- this van tour is an excellent way for someone who is physically limited to access the highlights of Joshua Tree.
