BEWARE: The advertised “Helicopter Tour and Guided Icefield Walk” experience is questionable if you get stuck in the middle two seats on the back of the helicopter since what you’ll see for the duration of the 20-25 minute round journey are three heads in front and a body on either side. You’ll be unable to move. Better take things from your pocket before seating down! The 15-20 minute “guided” Icefield walk is beautiful but the guiding is limited to “don’t go too far, don’t go to the edge” and a couple of complete sentences about how deep, long and wide is the Herbert glacier. For my husband and I this tour was a very frustrating experience. We paid $309 each to go but it didn’t deliver. We tried to switch seats for the return with other passengers who were willing but the pilot said that it wasn’t allowed. We complained later with the supervisor, Sara, who said it was up to the pilot to switch seats and added that if we wanted more room we should’ve purchased additional seats. Mind you, we are regular sized people and so were the rest of the passengers. My advice to you, don’t go with them. They run an operation not based on return business -most of their clients are tourists from the cruise ships, a one time deal. Your experience doesn’t seem to motivate them. What motivates them is the $$$ in your pocket.
