We decided, at the last minute, to see if we could get tickets to last night’s Luau and were able to. We bought the Classic tickets at the Groupon rate. We got to Sea Life Park about 2 pm and it closes at 4 and then Luau ticket holders gather in the open-air restaurant. From there, after picking up our drink tickets and table assignments, we proceeded over to the Luau setting. OMG, how stunning is the setting! Overlooking the ocean - breathtaking - AND it was a full moon last night. There was some entertainment while the buffet was being put out and then it was time to eat. How quickly they were able to have everyone get through the buffet lineup was impressive. The food was ok, a good variety, including the option of poi and salmon ceviche. And then the entertainment began in earnest. It was EXCELLENT and there was lots of it. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our evening. We’ve been married 50 years and this was our first time in Hawaii. During the evening the MC asked everyone who had been married over 40 years to stand - there were about 8 couples and we’d been married the longest and were asked to join him - the entire crowd formed a circle around us and all the tables and then we had an opportunity to tell each other how much we loved - were given flower leis to place around our partner’s neck, danced to I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You, to the cheers of hundreds of people! And two young women at our table videod our ‘renewing our vows’ and emailed it to us today. What a night! THANK YOU!
