My 9 yr old son and I had a wonderful semi-private lesson as our first surfing experience with Steve. He was so encouraging and kind and optimistic. He was very patient and clearly has a talent for helping find a good wave and positioning the board so that we have the best possible chance of standing up. We loved our lesson with him and it is one of the highlight of our trip!

Decent experience for my two sons. 1.5 hour lesson but not really for anyone who has experience surfing. The entire time was spent close to shore in the shallow breaks. Also a bit expensive for what it is at $341 (plus a tip) for 1.5 hours. If I had to do it again, I’d just buy a used foamie for $50 and take my kids out on my own.
