My 14 year old daughter and I (49 years old) enjoyed our semi-private lesson with Adam. We had surfed a little bit before on very different beaches, and we wanted to learn about safety, etiquette, and technique for the local breaks. Adam patiently coached us on each wave and gave us encouragement - and the necessary pushes! We started closer into shore and then made our way out deeper. Adam got us wave after wave. He was super chill and kind, and gave us lots of information about position in the water, choosing waves, and adjusting our position on the board according to the wave. We had a ton of fun and came out of the water exhausted, satisfied, and ready to rent boards to go muck about on our own. My daughter’s review: “that was SO Good!’ Thanks, Adam! We appreciated the facilities — we were able to leave our bag behind the counter during our lesson, which made us feel secure. And there was a washroom, outdoor shower and hose for washing off our sandy feet. We did have a bit of trouble finding parking at the Sheraton. In the end we used the valet parking and walked over, but the quest took a bit of time, so plan accordingly.

Taylor was our Surf Instructor and I can't say enough great things about her. I was my husband and I and my 2 adult daughters, one of which has surfing experience. We had back to back semi-private lessons with Taylor. She really stressed having fun. We were there for some good laughs at seeing us novices attempt this and great memories. My daughter with experience go so much great information and tips and managed to get up and catch waves every time. When you book this adventure, definitely ask for Taylor!
