Follow our guide down a natural bayou through a natural Louisiana swamp. Along the way your guide will pause to give detailed info about the bayous, swamps, and Louisiana’s wetland eco systems. At the mid way point, we will enjoy stop and enjoy the surroundings. Depending on the season wildlife consists of ibises, egrets, herons, eagles, alligators, turtles, and more. Woodpeckers and assorted song birds are seasonal visitors to the living and dead cypress trees visible from the bayou.

Reservations are required, if you do not use our transportation detailed driving directions will be emailed in the confirmation email. We currently use a public launch near Laplace, La.

Everything was excellent, from the pick up to the cake we had as a surprise at the end of the tour. We spotted alligators, turtles and birds while canoeing through the swamp. Both Hannah and Matt were extremely nice and helpful, and made of today’s morning an adventure we won’t forget.

My son(26 years) and I enjoyed the quiet paddle along the old logging waterway and into the swamp. We saw a pair of Barn owls, Egrets, Herons and other small birds while we paddled. Our guide Hannah picked us up promptly and educated us on the waterways of New Orleans and the surrounding Parishes, as well as pointing out a nesting pair of Bald Eagles. Matt has the kayaks ready when we arrived and even had an extra large kayak for my very tall son. Matt showed us maps of the waterways, and former Cypress forrests. We loved the tour learning about the history of the changes within the Bayou ecosystem and kayaking the swamps. Highly recommend

If you are looking to see something outside the French Quarter, this is a great trip! Our group of nine ladies as well as six others comprised our tour. Byron and Chad are great and explained the natural habitat, animals and hurricane influence on the area. Would recommend this tour 100% for anyone who wants to go out on the water. The tour was a bit over three hours and worth every penny!
