Enjoying nature and the natural beauty are great reasons to go kayaking on the outskirts of New Orleans. We paddle through the Honey Island Swamp and circle through large cypress trees with one of the trees being on the National Registry. The waters are calm and ideal for both beginners and moderate paddlers alike. Very little experience is necessary to paddle these picturesque waterways. We keep our tours small so we can cater to the interest of our guests. You will see an array of wildlife as you make way enjoying the beauty and peacefulness only nature can avail.

This was the best part of our family’s trip to New Orleans. It was so much fun to kayak in the swamp! Deb was an amazing guide. She told us all about the swamp and as a kayak racer she was perfect for helping us beginners get the hang of kayaking. The weather was a little chilly at first but turned out to be perfect with all the rowing. We knew that since it was winter we wouldn’t see much wildlife but we saw a giant white heron that hung around us for a long time and then flew away down the swamp. We all had an amazing experience. My whole family would definitely do this tour again.

Wow, the swamp was so full of life and very peaceful. Deb, the owner and tour guide, was a wonderful guide. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It was one of the highlights of my trip. She was funny and sweet. I highly recommend this tour.
