Had an absolutely amazing 4 hours on this tour! We were with a group of 19 people, picked up right at the port in Ketchikan. We saw humpback whales (one even breeched), harbor seals, bald eagles, banana slugs and star fish! Our guide, Damon was so fun and knowledgeable. The snack after our rainforest hike was an added bonus! BOOK THIS TOUR, you will not regret it.

Who knew that there was a rain forest in Alaska. Want to experience it yourself, you need to jump on this tour. There were 6 people on our tour which made for a very intimate experience. Boat ride to Betton island provided a great chance to see bald eagles in the wild and the views were fantastic. Gently sloping beach and portable stairs made exiting the boat a breeze. Following your arrival on the beach you are greeted by the most enthusiastic and positive naturalist you will ever meet, Autumn. Talk about amazing!! In preparation for our visit, Carolyn and Autumn scoured the low tide beach and found a starfish which we named Patrick “of course” and sea cucumbers. Our hike through the rain forest with Autumn was amazing. Discovering banana slugs, Autumn shared her extensive knowledge of the forest and provided examples of forest edibles- wild blue berries and many things that only a bear should eat. Autumn was patient with questions and shared her personal Alaskan experiences. At the end of the hike we returned to their base camp where they had a campfire and light refreshments. Shout out to Carolyn who had prepared dip with the salmon they had caught the day before. Fantastic Alaskan experience
