Ranczo Kualoa – Aloha 'Aina Tour

Our Kualoa Grown Tour allows guests to see the beauty and tranquility of one of Oahu’s most well-preserved ancient Hawaiian fishponds (Moli’i), which is carbon-dated at between 800 and 1,000 years old. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior, you’ll get to learn about early Hawaiian aquaculture practices and how fish was farmed in this 153-acre actively farmed fishpond, still standing with much of the original stonewall infrastructure in place.

Guests will travel on a Trolley to explore the tropical fruit and flower gardens of Moli’i. Admire the accomplishments of the early Hawaiians as the rich stories of the voyaging canoe and ancient fishpond unfold.

I did the Best of Kualoa tour, the highlights were definitely the Kualoa Grown and the Jungle tours. Davina on the Kualoa Grown tour was knowledgeable. I appreciated how she could speak to her personal experience cultivating and preparing native Hawaiian fruits and vegetables. The Jungle tour was really fun, the guide’s name started with Hoo…Hooua? Sorry I can’t remember! He made the tour really fun and brought a good energy. If I was to do it again I’d skip the movie tour, it was a bit boring compared to the other two.

We did this tour 2/10, 2 o’clock tour, the tour guide was trying but couldn’t understand anything he was saying, it was a complete waste of time and money. I love other activities here but this one was horrible. Had to drive from Waikiki for an hour. Expected ranch to hire qualified tour guide and this was disappointing.

On this tour, you learn about all of the agricultural aspects of Kualoa ranch. Our guide, Elsie, was very knowledgeable and had many fun facts to share. We were able to taste test several things they actually grew on the ranch!
