I went on this tour a bit reluctantly ... my husband broke his wrist before our trip and couldn't go. For my daughter to go with our 19-year-old son, I had to join in. It ended up being a lot of fun! Saw some amazing views and scenery in a unique way.
Be prepared ... wear dark clothes. The red dirt will stain lighter clothes and socks. We were prepared for this, but even a gray shirt took multiple washes to get clean. You'll get covered head to toe in dust (or mud if it's rainy ... we had dry conditions). I was a passenger in the back and still got covered. I wear glasses and they gave me goggles that fit comfortably over them.
If you're a woman, wear a very supportive bra. This is a bumpy ride!
