Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This is a great experience for professional photographers and the rest of us too! I understand that all of the guides are excellent photographers and we were blessed to have Keith Price as our tour guide. We were picked up as promised and the ride was safe and comfortable. Stops for wc and and food when we wanted. I loved how Keith tailored the spots to our physical abilities. Bring your hiking shoes for the best views, but I got the feeling that if I wore flip flops, Keith would have found sweet spots accessible by barefoot, if that was what it took to provide the best experience for his customer. We shared the tour with another couple who booked separatedly, and it was more intersteing to have met them as well. The other couple were experienced photographers and the conversations were enriched with technical photography jargon. Talk of cameras and settings and what are you using, was inspiring and interesting to us. My husband and I used a simple point and shoot and our pictures turned out great. Keith made it fun, no matter what your level (if any). One bonus was that Keith took a lot of photos of us too. They looked great in the camera, so it will be hard to decide what to frame. We could take this tour over and over and we would see different things, in different seasons and different times of day. I'm sure we just got a small sample of all the beauty Tahoe offers up. A coyote crossed our path once. We were happy we booked for early in our first south tahoe vacation. We got our bearigs and got a few tips about the area too. Thank you so much! This was the best!!

We were taken to places around Lake Tahoe that we would not have know about. It takes too long to get the CD of pictures from the trip!

We booked the attraction to have a guide to see the sweet spots around Lake Tahoe, unfortunately due to our problem with the room at Heavenly we were unable to take the tour until we had already been to most of the spots they would normally take us - however, he did show us 3 additional spots that we had not seen - the biggest surprise was the quality of the photographs of us as a couple - I just wish I had worn something a little more photogenic - maybe they could put that in their brochure! I thought it would be just casual photos with mostly scenery - and the scenery is breathtaking - however, Greg our guide and photographer took the most amazing photos and I am a camera bug - he was outstanding - I definitely recommend this tour - We ran into another couple that had Greg as their guide and photographer the prior year - they talked about their great photos and how they were framed and in their home - I thought well yea but photos of us old folks will not be attractive enough to do that - but I was wrong - he did such a good job - I will be printing and framing some of the photos -
