Had I known that the animals were all caged in such small confinements, we would not have gone. We went thinking it was a conservation organization, but upon arriving, the place felt more like an animal abuse for-profit.
I tried to inquire about captivity breeding and a staff responded rudely and defensively, leaving me to think they do indeed conduct captivity breeding.
There were probably 10+ lions in SMALL cages back to back. None of the cages had any natural elements such as grass, pond, trees, etc. They were just dirt and a box for the lions to jump on. One of the staff was trying to feed meat to a lion and was met with apathy. The lion was on the other end of the cage and did not even turn around to look at her.
Same state of inhumane confinement for the other animals on site.
This place is not for our family. It's definitely not a lion habitat, more like lions in bare-bones cages.
