Our tour of Lower Antelope yesterday was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide, Nike, was phenomenal and made up for the few issues we had. We were very much discouraged by the logistical organization of the tour with 5 groups starting at one time. Despite the attempt to have several minutes between each group descending into the canyon, the crowded feeling was very unsettling. One member of our group has a mild form of claustrophobia, and even considered leaving the beginning of the tour secondary to the poor organization in The Lion's Den. It made the flow of the remaining part of the tour frustrating, specifically due to one member of the preceding group being disruptive and taking his time and not moving ahead with his group in a timely and respectful manner. Furthermore, we were all very shocked and nervous that a child under the age of 4 was allowed on the tour. After the experience, it just does not seem appropriate with the descent and accents, stairs, ladders, etc for a child of this age to be allowed.
Otherwise, it was a beautiful experience and again our guide Nike went above and beyond.
