If you are looking for a snorkel/whale/turtles/dolphins and Na Pali Coast sightings then this is for you! We are a family of 5- kids aged 12,12 and 9. Captain Jeff and his crew really showed us a day of fun and really looked after us!
The day began early but once on the boat there was a lovely breakfast of muffins, fresh fruit and Kauai coffee!
The first stop was snorkeling around 7:30! Once in the water, we saw so many different fish and even a few turtles! That was definitely the highlight for the kids to see! We stayed at the snorkel spot for an hour which was a perfect amount of time. We even got there early enough that by the time 2 other boat loads of tourists arrived we were ready to leave! That was a huge plus! The snorkel gear was great and for the first time I didn’t have mask issues so I was quite pleased!!
We then made our way up to the Napali coast where along the way, we witnessed several whales breaching! Absolutely breathtaking to see the mamas and their babies! We received some background about the whales and captain Jeff even put the microphone in the ocean so we could hear their calls! Really special...
Once at the Napali coast, we were able to get close enough to see caves up close and the views were breathtaking and everything you see in photos!
We turned around and was served lunch- make your own sandwiches and pasta salad which was delicious!
We witnessed a pod of dolphins on the way back and they swam in our wake under the boat!
Overall, the trip was a lot of fun- we managed to see every animal that we wanted which was a plus!
A few things: bring warm clothes! It’s quite chilly in the am and after snorkeling! Many people didn’t have sweatshirts and looked pretty cold!
Also, TAKE DRAMAMINE!!! Even if you don’t normally get sick, take it! We lucked out with low waves but people were still getting sick. I normally suffer quite badly so I took Dramamine an hour before and was more than good for the whole trip!
I really recommend this tour group as they they not only looked after us, but also gave a lot of history about the island. So happy we did this trip...
