Captain Amber and her crew delivered on a cruise promising a view of Na Pali, marine life sightings, and fun while keeping passenger safety and comfort in mind!
We saw several whales on the up and back, as well as a small pod of spinner dolphins! Sighted Ni'ihau through the clouds and made it to Na Pali (just to the cliff called Tight and Spin?) before turning around due to weather.
Captain Amber regaled passengers with timely fun facts about the islands, pointed out the best photo spots, and braced us for boat maneuvers as we headed into some wind, etc.
The swells were a bit large going from Kekaha to Polihale--the roller coaster ride analogy is appropriate. Not going to lie, it was rough--make sure you take Dramamine before the trip if you're even slightly inclined to motion sickness and definitely bring your positive attitude to make the most of the cruise.
The crew were on top of keeping the buckets available, checking to make sure folks were as comfortable as possible, and making sure there was water, ginger ale, and adult beverages as wanted. There were snacks available throughout the cruise and dinner as advertised!
Last ones off the boat to savor the last trip of the day on 2/15. Mahalo, Captain Amber, Evan, Cassidy, and Josh for taking us out!
