Napali Coast: destination is dependent on ocean conditions, tour may need to reroute south.
Bring: non-spray sunscreen, cameras protected from water, and any medications, allergy/ insect protection you require.
Wear: sunglasses & hat that secure to your head. Plan on getting wet. We are a barefoot tour unless a medical condition prevents that, please inform your captain

Not at all what I expected based on the description. We were in 15 foot waves headed out to the coast, it was wet from the waves plus rainy. 3 people threw up. They had puke buckets around every corner bc apparently this is normal. I didn’t throw up but I was sea sick the whole time. Couldn’t enjoy the coastline, although it was beautiful when I’d peak up. I was too sick to eat or drink the alcohol. Total waste of money for me personally. The staff was nice and husband didn’t get sick so he enjoyed it more than me. He was able to enjoy dolphins up close which was his favorite part. We spent over 4 hours on the boat and I was sick for 3, so not enjoyable for me. Couldn’t wait to get back on land and when I did I was exhausted from the experience.

We went on the Sunset Cruise on Sunday. We had Captain Amber and Cassidy and Josh for crew. When we got close to the northern section, the ride got “exciting” in Captain Amber’s words. Pretty much everyone on the cruise got wet due to the high winds, swells, and current. But Amber stopped several times to prepare us for what was ahead so no surprises. We all had the option to get under cover if we wanted. After we got to the Napali Coast and got turned around, it immediately got much calmer! And the Napali Coast is beautiful! Very unique! We were able to enjoy dinner and see 12-15 humpback whales during the trip. No dolphins this trip. My husband and I were very pleased with the crew who constantly went out of their way to make everyone happy and as comfortable as possible during the rough seas. The rough seas lasted for about 15-20 minutes. Fairly short lived compared to the five hour trip. We would definitely use Kauai Sea Tours again and were very happy with the crew. I would say that this cruise is definitely not for children in the winter months when the sea swells are high.

The crew was great and the captain was fantastic! It was much rougher than we expected. Two of our party were very sick. Even for those who didn't get sick it got a little long. It was exciting seeing dolphins beside the boat and whales in the distance. The food was average.
