My sister and I were on vacation and spent 5 days in New Orleans. Friday, December 1st the weather was in the low 70’s - perfect!! - and Ross was our guide. He was so passionate about what he was doing while ensuring his group of kayakers were comfortable. It was so relaxing!! We saw quite a bit of wildlife! I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone wanting to get out and explore what Louisiana’s nature.

My wife and I chose this tour because: 1) we prefer activities that involve noise and pollution; 2) we didn't want to go on a "circus tour" where animals are trained to respond to marshmallow treats; 3) good reviews. We got all three of these, and a terrific narrative from a knowledgeable and passionate guide. Even though the put-in was under a freeway, we quickly left the auto noise behind and had a serene experience gliding through cypress-lined waters. We spotted some animals - and yes, we saw a couple alligators toward the end (moments after we had agreed that the tour had already exceeded our hopes).

We had a great time on this kayak trip. It was a short (<30 minute) ride from downtown New Orleans to the drop-in spot. Then with a few instructions we were out in the water. Heading back into the narrowing fingers of the waterways was very serene and scenic; we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. We saw at least five alligators - mostly just hanging out on logs - and none were in any way threatening (which was my husband's biggest fear beforehand). By our dumb luck, November was the perfect time of year to go out, with yellow flowers blooming and comfortale temperatures even as the sun was starting to set. I'd even suggest a longer outing if they offered one - two hours on the water went by so quickly!

Thanks for coming out! We've been loving the swamps this time of year!
