It is a place where parrotfish feed on the living coral while trumpetfish try to blend in among its branches. The reef is protected, so you can expect to see large schools of grunts and snappers swimming among large groupers hiding in the crags and looking for a meal. The great barrier reefs on our planet are precious. Like underwater rainforests, they teem with wildlife and colorful corals.

Great captain Candice was a pleasure. Seas were high and we felt very comfortable knowing she wipe keep us safe.

We booked the snorkeling tour at the reef but it was too windy to go. Instead we got to visit an island where we could swim, snorkel, kayak or just hang out on the beach. We found lots of cool shells and saw lots of huge hermit crabs. The boat ride was fun on the tiki boat. Cody was great making sure everyone had a drink or snack. Captain Candace was awesome.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH VIATOR - - this is less than half the price if you book through the tour operator directly or simply show up to the dock. Viator hosts Attractions4Us which will literally charge you more than double, and they will not refund you under any circumstance. But a great snorkeling trip.
