Russ was great! Really accommodating and friendly, even texted us later that weekend to give us a heads up to catch the northern lights! Glacier was absolutely beautiful and a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend

My husband and I did this tour today with Russ. I can’t say enough good things about it and about our guide, Russ. To start, we booked the tour through Trip Advisor and didn’t get the best directions about where to meet. We called Russ a few minutes before 7 and he immediately answered and was very helpful. He actually told us to drive back to our B & B and he would pick us up. Russ is extremely knowledgeable of the entire area and entertained us with Alaska history and stories during the entire two hour drive to the Matanuska Glacier. We were able to stop several times along the way for photo opportunities. Russ also provided water and snacks. Once at the glacier, another group took us out, but it was an amazing once in a lifetime experience. Pictures don’t do the beauty of the ice justice! It is important to be in somewhat decent shape as this tour does include a lot of walking, sometimes a little climbing, and even squeezing through narrow ice walls. We weren’t rushed while on the glacier and given lots of opportunities to explore and take pictures. After coming off the glacier, Russ was waiting with a warm van and we headed towards Palmer for lunch. We ate a late lunch at a Mom and Pop place. The home cooked food was delicious and we were able to try local cuisine. Russ continued to give us suggestions of other things to do on the drive back. He even said we could call him if we had questions, needed directions, etc. Spending the day with Russ was like being with an old friend. He was super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful and I’d recommend his tours to anyone without reservation. Thank you Russ for a wonderful day!

Wow! What a nice overview of our experience together. I truly enjoyed my time with you as well. Sorry it has taken so long to respond. We finally got our new store open on March 5th and I am looking forward to a busy - COVID free summer. Cheers,

This was by far one of the most magical experiences. The view is breathtaking. Russ was sooo accommodating and sweet and had so much knowledge. He really was a highlight to the trip. The tour guides on the glacier were also so friendly and even gave me foot warmers because my toes were cold before we even got out on the ice! I HIGHLY recommend this and i think it was worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! Thanks Russ for this adventure we will never forget. Your friends, Brie and Nicole.

Thank you for your kind words. I am so glad you enjoyed your glacier adventure. Sorry it has taken so long to respond. I finally got both COVID shots and the second one hit me hard. But it is over now and I am happy to be vaccinated and I am back doing tours again starting this week. We are looking forward to a busy summer season.
