It is hard to believe product reviews these days, but the ones about the Pride of Maui are true. The experience was just as advertised and the staff was even more friendly than I anticipated. They are one of the most affordably priced tours and left at 8am compared to some of the earlier ones so it was perfect for us. Highly recommend!

After reading more of the negative reviews I wish I would have done that before I booked. What happened to others happened to us. The wind was blowing when we were in Maui and when we arrived we were told it would be “a bit breezy” and to be away it may be rocky in the way back in. I understand wind can be a factor but when the captain is bragging about how this is one of the windiest harbors in the world you’d think they would be prepared. What we were not told was that we wouldn’t be going to Molokini or Turtle town and that we would be going 10 mins from the harbor beside the highway. While I understand wind can be a factor, the lack of clear communication of the change in plans and an option to reschedule or refund was disappointing. The snorkeling was sub par, nothing was seen no turtles or whales and minimum fish. Everyone came out pretty quickly as there wasn’t much to see. The capital literally ended up driving the boat in circles to waste time as it was too early to go back to the harbor and there was nothing else to do. We left feeling used and that we had gone on a cash grab. If the wind effects your ability to properly provide the service you sell then you should cancel not try to make something out of nothing. Very disappointing as this was to be the highlight of our trip and the special event we booked for a 40th birthday.

I am sorry, but you were told at the beginning of the day while still inside the harbor that you could reschedule for another day, as we knew the winds were brisk on this day. We even offered to refund if you couldn't reschedule. You cant insist on going out knowing we may not be able to go to the crater and be upset when the conditions were not ideal. This is the very reason we cancel when it is too rough, or provide the opportunity to reschedule if it is safe but not ideal. Some folks are leaving the next day, and cant reschedule and as such willing to take a chance that the weather will improve. That is why we give the choice. You also could have called us after the tour and shared your concerns and we would have refunded you and or rescheduled.

Very laid back. Staff is excellent and help with everything. Food is delish! We saw two reefs. Turtles and even whales!
