Even though the day that we took this cruise was a bit rainy and foggy at times we still had a great experience. The cruise ship had plenty of room for everyone to sit and also plenty of room on the decks for everyone to view. We only eat kosher so we were not able to participate in the meals. However, the staff on board were very helpful in finding the food items that did meet our standards & even offered to prep them in a way that was acceptable to us. The scenery is beautiful and the company's claim of completely calm, no seasickness, water is right on target. We saw plenty of wildlife but no whales. The captain always gave plenty of time for all of us to take our photos. We chose to do the Meares glacier tour rather than Columbia glacier because we wanted to make sure that we could get as close as possible to the glacier. We sure got close! The captain was skilled in navigating the floating ice and keeping the ship steady while we viewed the glacier. We were fortunate to see and hear some nice calving. The crew actually allowed me to hold the huge chunk of ice they pulled from the water! What an experience! It was one of the highlights of our Alaska trip.

Our visit to the Meares Glacier was extraordinary and magical. Throughout the trip, our captain slowed the boat for wildlife sightings, including otters, Stellar sea lions, porpoises, and harbor seals on ice floes. We had ample time at Meares Glacier, which is one of the few glaciers in Alaska that is not retreating. Our meals and snacks were delicious--we were well cared for by the crew. The next time I'm in Valdez, I will defiinitely take this tour again.

The experience was amazing. Staff and crew were extremely helpful and friendly. The views were beautiful and the wildlife was plentiful and enjoyable. The captain was very informative and he explained everything along the way including historical events. I would highly recommend this company and this event for any visitors in the Valdez area.
