Took the mendenhall glacier view sea kayaking excursion as a port excursion while on our recent Alaskan cruise. The kayaking moved at a snails pace through a inlet that was not near the glacier. It’s true you can see it but are really not close at all and felt the pictures on the website are deceiving. Saw one eagle and spent an enormous amount of time in the kayak looking at it before rowing at a very slow pace to an area where seals are sometimes spotted. Luckily I brought binoculars or I would not have seen anything. Save your money. Not worth the money being charged.

Sorry, the tour did not meet your expectations. You are approximately 8 miles from the glacier on this tour. I wish we could control wildlife but they are unpredictable.

My girlfriend and I were guided by Andre on our adventure. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and helpful. This was our first experience in Alaska, and we were blown away by the wildlife, including the seals who swam near our group of kayaks. Our cruise ship listed this activity as "strenuous," but this was something that most people could enjoy. It was not physically demanding at all and simply required the ability to paddle. This was a wonderful excursion and I would recommendation this trip to anyone who wants to get out and be active during his/her cruise.

We did the sea kayaking as an excursion during our Alaskan Cruise. We enjoyed the kayaking, guide Zane was informative and helpful and overall I recommend. Only complaint is I expected to be closer to the glacier.
