We have taken many walking history food tours and Casey lived up to our expectations. She was enthusiastic, knowledgable, eager to please the entire group and fun to be with. She involved the group in decision making of what our focus was for the tour(besides foods). The group decided we were very interested in seeing murals in the Mission District and discussing different types of Victorian Architecture as we walked. We did just that! She obviously had knowledge of all of these requested areas of discussion. She also was extremely sensitive to any food restrictions in the group and allowed me to enjoy the food without worrying about gluten or onions which I can’t easily eat. The food stops were well chosen. We stopped for a breakfast egg muffin, original Mission style corn tortilla tacos, Pupusas from El Salvador, the best pizza Margherita I have ever eaten and a fabulous gluten free chocolate brownie cookie. My only regret was that I didn’t get the recipe of how to make these newly experienced pupusas and gluten free cookies from Tartine Bakery. I am already consulting the internet to find recipes for both!

I really enjoyed this food tour, and I learned a lot about the Mission area of San Francisco. The tour guide, Molly, was wonderful! She told us stories about the murals, buildings, history, and area while shepherding our group to five different restaurants where we got to taste a variety of foods. I plan on returning to all five of the restaurants and also exploring the Mission district more on my own. The tour was a great introduction to a fascinating area of San Francisco!

My wife and I did this tour with our guide Ted and a handful of Northern California locals. The tour was great. Ted has a great manor and mixes in history and architecture along with the food and social scene. I have been to San Francisco before but this time I came away with a closer connection to the city and its rich history.
