I booked this on groupon because it was cheap and I thought why not? We booked for midday snorkel but were upgraded to Dolphin Encounter due to trying to group everyone together with it being the slow season. There were 15 of us on the boat plus 3 crew. We enjoyed the boat ride and there are plenty of snacks and drinks. We also prefer the laid back atmosphere. If you're looking for a 4 hour boat ride and amazing views I'd definitely recommend this. The crew was laid back. It's not as professional "organized" as other companies we booked, meaning I learned one crew member was homeless from L.A. So you will get or hear chit chat. 2 crew members spent large majority of time on the bow chit chatting with guests they hit it off with. This didn't bother us but many prefer a more structured and professional atmosphere and that's not what you'll get here. As I said we enjoyed the boat ride however, it was a Dolphin Encounter and had I paid full price for that I would have been very upset for what we actually got. Since I'm reviewing a dolphin encounter here is what you get. Dolphins: We saw a few spinner dolphins from afar swimming with people on paddle boards and snorkeling that's basically it for the dolphins. Snorkeling: They stop at one place that isn't optimal for snorkeling. The sea bed is so far down you can barely sea anything but water. 30 minutes spent here. Bottom line: This is a great midday cruise and I would definitely recommend if that's what your looking for. We enjoyed our time especially with the rate we paid on groupon. My son enjoyed playing in the water. We stopped at a lava tube which was cool to see. Lots of flying fish and saw a guy catch a mahi mahi. However, if you're booking to swim with dolphins or for amazing snorkeling you will be sadly disappointed. You'll be lucky to see a dolphin much less swim with any. If you want to interact with a dolphin you'll need to book a dolphin encounter at dolphin quest. You can snorkel for free at Makalawena beach which is 10x better than the snorkeling on this trip.

Year after year I have the best time ever with this particular boat business. My family and I have done the dolphin, whale and manta tours throughout the years and we’ll continue to choose them again and again. Also, Brian is an awesome employee. He’s also helpful, alert and knowledgeable. One time he even helped save my uncle who was getting out of breath.

I'd rate them -1 out of 10. Lier, not honest, you will be paying to watch the captain and crew having fun in stead of you. 1)No contact with dolphines at all, not asking to swim w/Dolphines, but as they promised, we will be allowed to in the water where dolphines are swimming by, but what you are paying is actually watching other people in the water with dolphines. 2)As they stated on website, and also during tha call, they promised 2 snokelling spots, BUT Only one middle of no where bad water snorkelling spot for only like 30 mins in the water, barely no fish, bad water area, middle of no where. This tour is totally scam! DO NOT WASTE your money and time! Going to make compains to related department about this horrible experience.
