A sunrise meditation hike along the San Jacinto Mountains steps from Palm Springs to a resting spot with dramatic views of the Coachella Valley. You'll watch the sun rise over Indian Canyons and come together in guided meditation setting a grounded intention for the day.

We'll greet each other at the South Lykken trailhead. As we hike the trail about a mile to our meditation spot, we'll listen to the natural beauty of Oswitz Canyon. I'll lead you through a grounding meditation to help you set your intention for the day, acknowledging your connection to the Earth and the universe.

Guests will walk away with stunning photos. Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, you'll have a grounded connection to the environment, a clear mind, and an open heart. We will hear the sounds of the earth. We will see the colors of the planet. We will breathe the essence of being. We will see the universe in motion. The morning sun will expose our shadows. If the stars agree, we will see big horn sheep.

Tim is a terrific guide. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about the thought of starting the hike before sunrise without the aid of artificial light. I was then amazed how well I could see under moonlight as my eyes adjusted. Tim is sensitive to have the group stop at various points to rest and goes at the pace of the group. Once at the final viewpoint, the grounding meditation is very special - spiritual, relaxing and peaceful. Highly recommend this hike while in Palm Springs. One caveat - it is a bit of a physical challenge for novice hikers, but completely doable.

Thank you so much for your kind, awesome words! I appreciate your thoughts on the physical challenge. I hope that I've adequately articulated the hike is not for everyone. I find that the greatest challenge for most guests is in their head. Toward that end, I've had an 89-year-old complete the hike, and many folks just beginning their fitness journey. Triathletes sometimes struggle the most! I try to help everyone through their mental hurdles, and judging by their smiles at the end, I think I'm able to help everyone through.
