With Evan as our tour guide, it solidified the EXCELLENT rating, however, this tour still would have been worth every penny, even with another guide. This was a great way to catch all of the major highlights of the Mount Hood/Columbia River Gorge area, especially on a short stay, and with a good guide, you are likely to get more in than what the itinerary states. We visited Multnomah Falls, Bonneville Fish Hatchery, Historic Columbia River Highway and stopped at various lookout points of the Gorge/Mt Hood area, lunch/beer and wine tasting in the town of Hood River, drove up to Timberline Lodge with multiple viewing stops along the way, detours through small towns of Mosier and closed out the day with jokes about Boring City, Oregon. We would not have been able to plan such an efficient day trip on our own. Evan was super friendly, clearly passionate about the history and beauty of his home state/city, and committed to ensuring everyone got something special out of the tour. He was a fount of knowledge and had an interesting tidbit about Oregon history and the Portland/Columbia River area to share nearly every minute of the trip, whether it was related to one of the sights or just a way to pass the time during the ride. Pick-up was timely, van was neat and clean, guide ensured everyone was comfortable and was very communicative. He had waters for guests as well as umbrellas for rain. He was accommodating in dropping us off at a different location than where we started and was flexible with his schedule offering to give the group a few more unplanned stops along the way. The group of 8 people was small enough that you felt as though you were on a private tour. I would highly recommend this tour!
